Air conditioning for homes and commercial premises

Selection, installation and servicing of air conditioning systems, from survey to commissioning.

How to make air conditioning efficient and comfortable

  • Right selection. System type and capacity are chosen for the room, its use and the number of people.
  • High seasonal efficiency. Air conditioners up to 12 kW carry an energy label: SEER shows cooling efficiency, SCOP shows heating efficiency.
  • Linked with heating and ventilation. The air conditioner can heat in cold weather, while ventilation supplies the fresh air an air conditioner does not.
  • Zoned control. Each room is set separately and on a schedule.
  • Regular servicing. Clean filters and coils keep the system efficient.

Turnkey air conditioning: our services include

  • Survey and selection. Rooms, positions for indoor and outdoor units, pipe routes, condensate drainage and power supply.
  • Equipment supply. Matched to the chosen system and capacity.
  • Installation. Units, refrigerant pipework, drainage and cabling.
  • Commissioning. Tightness test, evacuation, start-up, setting up and user guidance.
  • Maintenance and repair. Planned visits and fault fixing.

System types

Heating, cooling and ventilation are best designed together, because one well-planned system can cover several jobs in the building at once.

Split systems

One indoor and one outdoor unit joined by refrigerant pipework. The simplest solution for a single room.

Multi-split systems

One outdoor unit and several indoor units. Each room has its own unit and is controlled separately.

VRF systems

One outdoor unit serving many indoor units on a shared refrigerant circuit, with refrigerant flow adjusted to each unit as needed. Suited to offices and multi-room buildings.

Ducted

The unit is hidden in the ceiling or a plant space and air is delivered through ducts. Only the grilles are visible in the room.

Cassette

Fitted into the ceiling and distributing air in several directions. A common choice for offices, shops and cafés.

Wall-mounted

The most common choice for living rooms, bedrooms and small offices, with quick installation and easy servicing.

Where we install

For every building we offer a technical solution suited to its conditions and budget, not just equipment.

Homes and flats

Bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and extensions: comfort in summer and extra heating in spring and autumn. Where the interior matters, a ducted system with concealed units works well.

Offices

VRF or multi-split with separate control by zone. Air-to-air heat pumps provide both heating and cooling. Fresh air comes from ventilation with heat recovery.

Shops

The solution depends on floor area and layout, and systems can be combined. Cassette units on the sales floor, split systems in back-of-house rooms.

Cafés and restaurants

Cassette or wall-mounted units in the dining area. The kitchen needs extract with make-up fresh air, so air conditioning is designed together with it.

Small hotels and guest houses

An indoor unit and individual control in each room, with separate solutions for reception and other shared areas.

Fitness studios and gyms

High heat load from people and a large room volume. Air conditioning is combined with ventilation for fresh air.

Medical and dental practices

Stable temperatures in treatment rooms. Ventilation and filtration requirements are set by risk assessment in line with NHS England guidance HTM 03-01.

Server and plant rooms

Equipment gives off heat all the time, so cooling is needed all year round with a stable temperature.

Warehouses and workshops

Warm air collects under the roof. Ducted units mounted high draw it down into the working area.

Why work with us

  • Full cycle. One contractor from survey to maintenance.
  • Tailored solution. A system for the specific space, not a standard kit.
  • Clear terms. Scope, timescale and cost agreed before work starts.
  • One contact. Responsible for the project from enquiry to handover.

Equipment benefits

  • Efficiency. Selected on seasonal SEER and SCOP figures to keep electricity costs down.
  • Reliability. Equipment from manufacturers with an official warranty and documentation.
  • Flexibility. Different types and capacities for any space and task.
  • Full range of services. From selection and supply to installation and maintenance.

Why clients choose us

The right solution for every business and home

Cost-led design

We compare installation cost with running costs and choose the option that pays off over the life of the system.

Modern technology

Multi-zone systems, air-to-air heat pumps and zoned control for comfort at lower running costs.

Phased delivery

Work can be split into stages, for example the main rooms first and the rest later, to make budgeting easier.

Commercial systems

  • VRF, cassette, ducted and split systems
  • Heating and cooling with air-to-air heat pumps
  • Ventilation with heat recovery
  • Kitchen extract with make-up air

Systems for the home

  • Wall-mounted split and multi-split systems
  • Concealed ducted air conditioning
  • Linked with a heat pump and heat recovery ventilation
  • Control by zone and schedule

Cooling and heating

An air conditioner works as an air-to-air heat pump: it cools in summer and can heat in cold weather. It does not supply fresh air, so rooms still need ventilation.

UK requirements

  • Installing, servicing and leak checking refrigerant systems must be done by technicians with an F-gas qualification.
  • Systems with 5 tonnes CO₂ equivalent of refrigerant or more must be leak checked at least every 12 months.
  • Air conditioning systems over 12 kW must have an energy assessment at least every 5 years.

Our process

Survey

Rooms, unit positions, pipe routes, drainage and power supply checked on site.

Selection

System type and capacity chosen for the space, its use and the interior.

Installation

Indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant pipework, drainage and cabling fitted.

Commissioning

Tightness test, evacuation, start-up, settings and user guidance at handover.

Servicing

Planned maintenance visits on an agreed schedule after handover.

Planned maintenance

Cleaning filters and units, checking drainage and system performance. This keeps the system efficient and finds faults early.

Repairs

Diagnosis and repair of existing air conditioning systems, including those fitted by other companies.
