Ventilation and heat recovery systems

Fresh air, extract and heat recovery for homes and commercial buildings.

How to make ventilation efficient and smart

  • Right design. Air change rates are calculated for the building, its layout, room use and occupancy.
  • Heat recovery. A heat exchanger passes heat from outgoing air to incoming air, so less heat is lost in winter.
  • Linked with heating and cooling. Ventilation supplies fresh air while a heat pump or air conditioner heats and cools.
  • Demand-led control. CO₂ sensors show whether an occupied room is getting enough fresh air.
  • Regular servicing. Clean filters keep airflow up and supply air clean.

Turnkey ventilation: our services include

  • Design. Air change calculation, unit selection, duct routes and grille positions.
  • Equipment supply. Units, fans, ductwork, grilles, filters and controls.
  • Installation. Equipment, ductwork, electrical connection and controls.
  • Commissioning. Testing and balancing airflow in every room.
  • Maintenance and repair. Filter changes, planned checks and fault fixing.

What we provide

Supply and extract

Fresh air goes to living rooms and work areas; stale air is removed from kitchens and bathrooms.

Heat recovery

A heat exchanger passes heat from outgoing air to incoming air and cuts heat loss.

Ductwork

Route design, supply and fitting to suit the layout and the interior finishes.

Commissioning and servicing

Testing and setting up at handover, then filter changes and planned maintenance.

Why ventilation matters

Cooking, showers and even breathing add moisture to the air. If it is not removed, it leads to condensation, damp and mould, which damage the building and can affect health. Insulation and draught-proofing reduce natural air movement. Ventilation replaces damp, stale air with fresh air, and heat recovery keeps part of the heat.

Why work with us

  • Full cycle. One contractor from design to maintenance.
  • Joined-up approach. Ventilation is selected together with heating and air conditioning.
  • Clear terms. Scope, timescale and cost agreed before work starts.
  • One contact. Responsible for the project from enquiry to handover.

Ventilation equipment

  • Supply and extract units with heat recovery
  • Extract fans for kitchens, bathrooms and WCs
  • In-line duct fans for commercial systems
  • Kitchen extract canopies and make-up air
  • Ductwork, grilles and diffusers
  • Filters and controls, including CO₂ sensors

Equipment benefits

  • Efficiency. Heat recovery reduces heat loss while air keeps changing.
  • Reliability. Equipment from manufacturers with an official warranty and documentation.
  • Flexibility. Different types and airflows for homes and commercial premises.
  • Full range of services. From design and supply to installation and maintenance.

Where we install ventilation

For every building we offer a technical solution suited to its conditions and budget, not just equipment.

Offices

Employers must provide enough fresh air in workplaces. Heat recovery ventilation runs on a schedule and on CO₂ sensors, so air is supplied as needed.

Shops

The solution depends on floor area and layout. A supply and extract system with heat recovery serves the sales floor and back-of-house rooms.

Cafés and restaurants

Extract canopies over cooking equipment, with extracted air replaced by fresh air. Where extract acts as the flue for gas appliances, it is interlocked with the gas supply by a Gas Safe engineer.

Small hotels and guest houses

Extract from each en-suite, fresh air to guest rooms and shared areas, and heat recovery to keep heating costs down.

Fitness studios and gyms

Many people, physical activity and moisture from showers. A large fresh air supply and extract from showers and changing rooms are needed.

Medical and dental practices

Air change rates and filtration designed for each room type. Requirements are set by risk assessment in line with NHS England guidance HTM 03-01.

Homes and flats

Constant fresh air to bedrooms and living rooms, extract from the kitchen and bathrooms. The unit sits in the loft or a utility room; ductwork is easiest to fit during refurbishment.

UK requirements

Ventilation requirements for buildings are set out in the Building Regulations, Approved Document F. In workplaces, employers have a duty to provide enough fresh air under the Workplace Regulations. We take these requirements into account at the design stage.

Why clients choose us

The right solution for every business and home

Cost-led design

We compare installation cost with running costs and choose the option that pays off over the life of the system.

Modern technology

Heat recovery, CO₂-based control and integration with heat pumps and air conditioning.

Phased delivery

Work can be split into stages and combined with refurbishment, to make budgeting easier.

Commercial systems

  • General supply and extract ventilation with heat recovery
  • Kitchen extract with make-up air
  • Integration with air conditioning and heat pumps
  • Scheduled and CO₂-based control

Systems for the home

  • Supply and extract unit with heat recovery
  • Extract fans for the kitchen and bathrooms
  • Integration with a heat pump and air conditioning
  • Automatic control
